We've run games for:
“This experience was a new and fun way to spend time together and problem solve in a more creative space than what we do at work. If your team has chemistry issues in the workplace, this will highlight how to work through different problems in a low-stakes and creative way! ”

Improve your retention and productivity by using our games to strengthen your team’s relationships.
Imagine going to work each day and connecting with a team that feels understood and supports each other — a close-knit team working together in a positive environment where everyone thrives.
That's the dream, right?
But in this ever-changing world of work, there are so many struggles that get in the way of creating your dream team, such as:
-
Work-life balance
-
Chemistry issues
-
Never-ending shifts in priorities and project focus
You’ve tried to alleviate these struggles because you want the dream to exist for your team as much as for yourself.
You want each team member to feel seen, heard, and valued.
You want each team member to feel comfortable sharing parts of themselves they don't otherwise get to share.
You want your team to mesh together so they always bring out the best in each other.
But what you've tried in the past didn't have lasting results.
Despite investing in fun lunch outings and trust exercises, your team always ended up settling back into routines. Relationships became superficial again. And before you knew it, everyone was back at their desk, hunkered down to meet the next deadline.
It's frustrating, for sure.
But what no one tells you is this:
Building the team of your dreams takes more than an occasional free lunch, motivational speaker, or afternoon activity.
Why?
Team building is not a one-time event.
Dream teams are created through consistent, intentionally practiced actions.
Actions focused on specific goals like:
-
Overcoming the fear of failure
-
Practicing vulnerability and trust
-
Acknowledging other's contributions
That's where we come in!
Playing for Keeps offers fun and engaging tabletop role-playing games tailored to your team's needs, schedules, and goals.
We're more than just a fun time.
Our game masters are trained in corporate team building and leadership development so you and your team get results and form true bonds.
Here are a few ways we do this:
-
Each session starts with an exercise to engage players and ease them into gameplay.
-
We create low-stakes environments that reduce the fear of failure (because Nat 1's are inevitable) and encourage failing forward.
-
We've developed numerous scenarios so no matter what choice the team makes, every player has a chance to shine.
-
We step back to ensure its your team moving the story forward. That means they must collaborate, solve problems in a creative space, and improve their chemistry through gameplay.
Our games are for you if...
-
You have a calling to bring out the best in your team.
-
You desire authentic team-building backed by research.
-
You're committed to being just as present in the team-building experience as you expect your team to be.
-
You want your team to have a tabletop gaming experience focused on creativity, self-expression and personal/professional growth (not sword n' board or hack n' slash).
Sound right up your alley?
-
How long do games take?We understand your time is precious and would hate for you to choose between meeting deadlines or team building. That’s why our virtual sessions are only 3 hours from start to finish. Perfect timing to take a long lunch and return to work energized!
-
How much do these experiences cost? The investment varies, and deposits are required to secure your dates. Check out our Services Page for more information.

I’m not sure if this kind of experience is best for my team, so I’m hesitant to invest in a campaign. What are my options?First, we recommend setting up a free discovery call so you can chat one-on-one with our lead game master about your team’s needs. This will help you both decide if a tabletop gaming experience would be a good fit for your team. We offer one shots designed to get your team’s feet wet with gameplay and see if this kind of experience is right for them. If it is, we can easily turn the one-shot setting into a campaign for a seamless transition.

Most of my team is new(ish) to tabletop rpgs, and I’m worried about how complicated games can be. Is this experience geared toward them?Yes! We understand that learning rules and roleplay can feel overwhelming. The role of your game master is to be your guide and facilitator throughout your journey. They put a focus on experiential learning and a judgment-free atmosphere. Simply put, there’s no need for players to deeply understand the rules and mechanics because your game master will meet the players at their proficiency levels. Their focus is not on strict rulings but on the players’ experience.
-
Do you have group-size requirements?Players have the best experience in groups of 3 to 6. If your team is larger than 6 members, we’ll discuss options during our discovery call.
-
What if we need to cancel or reschedule?A session can be canceled up to 72 hours in advance and rescheduled within the agreed-upon campaign length. For example, if your team purchases 5 sessions, a cancellation can be scheduled within the 2-month duration of the campaign. Sessions canceled with less than 72-hour notice will be charged 50% of that session's cost. For example, one session in a campaign canceled with less than 72-hour notice will still cost the company $750 for a $1500 session.
